Help python errors

Post by feeblminds »

hi wondering if anyone can help. I ran sabnzbd smooth on ubuntu for six months. Due to memory stick failure I formatted and restarted with linux mint? At time I didn't realise my ram was duff. Anyway now. I am getting random errors from sabnzbd sometimes hourly sometimes daily. Firstly it was segmentation errors whilst mid download. I wondered if it was python 2.7 so I tried with 2.6. Now I get fatal python error inconsistent interred string state few times per day. Tried
reinstalling python and sabnzbd am am out of ideas?

segmentation errors ? Do you mean segmentation faults? If so, your system is corrupt, probably your hardware, and very probably your memory. Run MEMTEST from the boot options, and it run for a few hours. If there is any memory error at all, you know what to do.

Yeah sorry seg fault is what I meant. Memtest is how I found out one stick of ram was duff but it shows no probs with this 2gb stick. RAM is cheap enough so can try more and see if it works. Thanks for help.
