Cannot connect to server news.usenetserver.com:119 [400 DENI

Hi All,

I'm getting a message which reads "Cannot connect to server news.usenetserver.com:119 [400 DENIED*]".

I've not been able to find any topics in this forum with this error, so I'm wondering if anyone knows what might be causing this?

In Config -> Server, Details, what happens when you click on Test Server?

I'm not alone! Just started happening to me too, as of the 19th. When you test the connection, it's fine. Still seems to be downloading fine because it's not switching to my block account. Weird.

Is it persistent, in that it blocks downloading?

Like I said, nothing has been used from my block account, so stuff is still coming down fine through usenetserver. Just seems to occasionally have an issue with a connection.

Looks like a server side issue.
What should SABnzbd do, keep quiet?

I don't think anyone here was suggesting it was SABnzbd's fault there, tiger.

Well, possibly SABnzbd is a bit too eager to report transient errors.
"Wrong credentials" need not be retried, but "Denied access" might be, because it often is transient.
I'll look into the matter.
