OSX Lion 10.7.5 Python Crash

Ever since I have updated to 10.7 from 10.6 SABnzbd has crashed after 24-48 hours of running. Even with just 1-2 downloads over that time. It does! crash while in the process of downloading or processing.

A very small number of people have reported something similar,
but we've never been able to reproduce anything.
I'm going to list the standard troubleshooting things:
1. Did you install the Lion version? You should.
2. Disable the OSX top menu in Config->Special: disable osx_menu and osx_speed and restart

If that fails: Stop SABnzbd and remove the file:
/Applications/SABnzbd.app/Contents/Resources//lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/_yenc.so

memory seems O.K. SABnzbd is the only crashing app.

When we cannot reproduce problems, there's not much we can do.
I believe your reports, but the "diagnostic" info from OSX isn't helpful in such cases.
The only thing it says is that there's a crash somewhere inside Apple's own Python libraries.

There's one more non-standard library that you can remove:
/Applications/SABnzbd.app/Contents/Resources//lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/sleepless.so
Worth a try.
Also, try running everything without SSL (so just non-ssl port 119 Usenet) and no HTTPS for SABnzbd's webserver.

sleepless.so was the right clue.
No crash since 5 days!

Weird.
All it does, is one simple system call.
And you're one of a very small number of people complaining about crashes in the first place.

BTW: there's a less rigorous way to get rid of sleepless.
Just set the option "keep_awake" off in Config->Special.
That setting will survive upgrades.

On what kind of OSX hardware do you run SABnzbd?
