I keep getting downloads that fail to verify, finding the download if I manually check par2 I find its missing very few blocks. If I click the failed history link, find the source and redownload the nzb I find there are Par2s in the nzb. If i manually delete everything but the pars and set it to just download, i can get the pars, repair the file and extract no issue.
If i understand this correctly, sab is supposed to skip the pars, download, check it and if its short then it should download the pars and fix and extract.
I don't know why my setup is skipping the fix step. I set up the default to +delete which should go through that stage.
I'm just having an issue cause a lot of files are failing but only missing 1-20 blocks and there have always been enough blocks in par files available.
Like i said I am able to manually downlaod the pars and fix and get my download, but sab use to do this automatically. Would love to fix what I have wrong, as I am sure its probably on my end. Just curious what logs I should be looking at.
I am running FreeNAS with SABnzbd 0.7.11
-Thanks for any help

Re: not downloading par2s
A few checks.
- Server timeout should be at least 60
- Retries at least 3 (but more does no harm, like 5) (Cfg->Switches)
Set SABnzbd to paused
When you load a job, inspect its file list (click on job title). Do you see the par2 files?
Is the naming of the files regular?
When a job fails in the way you describe, do the following.
Set SABnzbd to paused.
Click on the title to go to the file list.
Do you see any par2 files now?
Resume and see if the job completes.
If it finally fails, have all expected files been downloaded?
If not, contact me again.

Re: not downloading par2s
OK, server timeout is at 120. retries are at 3.
setting sabnzbd to paused, adding a file it shows the pars. resuming sab, it immediately jumps a couple hundred meg. looking again, no pars. I'm assuming this is where it removes the pars from the download.
when a job fails, it goes to the "completed" section stating it failed. clicking it doesn't bring up a file list anymore, it just fails. hovering over the icon that looks like a clock informs me it failed. now if i click the name in the completed section i can find the source, which is usually a link. re-adding the download with that link, setting it to "download" not "+delete" I can still see the par files in there. if i remove everything but the pars it will complete a download and i can repair 90+% of the time.
for some reason it is checking and then finishing without ever going to re-download the par files.
