Skin change cannot be done. Template dir missing

Post by hoekbrwr »

I get a warning message when starting SABnzbd with the -f option. See attached file for the exact fault warning.

I have set Web skin to other than None and then also my Desktop skin can only be standard because of the missing file. When I set Web skin to  None then I can set my DT skin to other than standard. These should not interfere.

Not so serious but it took me some time to realise what was going on. Carefully reading the warning gave  me the hint of the interference.

There's no such thing as a "Web-skin" versus a "Desktop-skin".
SABnzbd only has a web-based UI, although it can support two different skins through two URLs.
You can set a primary skin ("smpl", "Classic", "Plush") and an optional secondary (the same plus "Mobile").
The primary skin is used for this URL:

Code: Select all

http://systemname/sabnzbd
The secondary for this one:

Code: Select all

http://systemname/sabnzbd/m

The problem I reported is the fact that these two skins are not independent of each other. To be able to use the first skin I have to set the second one to None, very odd!

It is not possible to start the webinterface other than with the standard smpl - black interface.
When started I can change to other skin and do a restart to have this skin applied.
