I currently am using a rss feed from nzbmatrix for my shows, but I keep getting duplicates from files with similar names. Currently I have my feed with the show name and a lot of reject/require flags to ensure only one episode is downloaded for a specific show (reject proper/repack/etc)...but still, a duplicate always seems to sneak it's way into the queue.
Is there a better way then the multiple reject/require flags to omit these dups?
cheers
side: yes, "Skip a job if a backed-up .nzb with the same name exists" is checked ;)

Re: Help with a better RSS method
sorry, double post

Re: Help with a better RSS method
We are looking at a better way to do duplicate detection (combined with season sort).
Re: Help with a better RSS method
That's great news. Is there anything more that I can do in the meantime on my end beyond the method I'm already using?
Re: Help with a better RSS method
Not really.
Re: Help with a better RSS method
hey tstack77, I'm having the exact same problem. Would you mind posting your rejection terms so some of us can take advantage of them? I hadn't thought of rejecting phrases like "proper" and "repack". That's good stuff. Are there any others? The ones I'm most having trouble with are files named almost identically, but with much larger file sizing. Being able to filter by file size and poster would help.
Thanks!

Re: Help with a better RSS method
Hi all.
You can try yahoo pipes which allow you to import rss feeds. Then you can filters by size, duplicate, name or any terms. Also some show title came with uniqure ID such as "[23278]" so you can combined them all and get only one.
I think yahoo pipes refresh interval is a bit slow but if you're not in a hurry to get the latest then give it a try.
Ps. I am new to yahoo pipes as well.

You two, the rules, read them.
Re: Help with a better RSS method
Oops sorry. Wont happen again

Re: Help with a better RSS method
I was more proving a point about the RSS system than bragging about what I grabbed from usenet. Mainly I wanted to be able to download something with a single word and only that single word. Instead of coming back later to find it downloaded other posts containing that word, when I didn't want it too. That's all. I just used that one example as it's a common word.inpheaux wrote: You two, the rules, read them.
Re: Help with a better RSS method
As I was saying about the filter and you might tried this already: cow123 might get you a lots of cow123 but cow123 S22E will narrow down a bit more.
