Hang on .nzb downloads

Post by Thermopyle »

Several providers (bin-req, and nzbsrus for example) are hanging for me...it just says "Trying to fetch..." for hours.  The problem goes away when I run sab from the desktop instead of as a service.  I just noticed this today since NZBs is down which caused Sickbeard to fetch from these other sites.  Never had this problem with NZBs.

I can also manually run the code in sabnzbd\urlgrabber.py from lines 125 to 136 and succesfully get the .nzb

Version: .5.2
OS: WHS (Windows Server 2003)
Install-type: Windows Installer
Firewall Software: Windows Firewall
Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? yes

We uncovered a few potential problems with index sites.
These will be covered in the next minor release due in a few days.
Please note that many nzb sites are under a lot of stress since the demise of newzbin.

Sounds good.  After further testing, it seems like the bit I mentioned about running as service vs running on desktop was misleading...it was just the restarting of sab that fixed the problem.
