Stale connections

I've had some internet connection problems in the last few days.

This resulted in many timeouts to my usenet provider.

The internet problem has been resolved now, but it appears sabnzbd has stopped trying to start connections to usenet.

I have 1 stale connection open, #18, which I cannot force disconnect. Here is the log:

I now have to kill sabnzbd completely in order to get it to resume the downloads.

No idea really, I often use astraweb for testing downloads.
Reboot your router?
Does the same occur when you don't use SSL?
Is your firewall interfering?

It only happens when my internet is down, so I'd suspect it was a problem with sabnzbd's connection handling. It says connection 18 has "timed out", but it's still there, and no retries are being made. I couldn't quit sabnzbd normally when this happened, I had to kill the application (kill -9), so maybe it results in a hang or something.
