I use Chrome for my browser and the extension SABConnect++ Settings all configured and connected to sab correctly. Problem is it will not grab the categories from nzbs.org, nzbmatrix, nzb.su, nzbsrus but I do have all one click downloads enable. Its a pain to have to set each one every time, am I missing a setting somewhere? This used to work on other builds,

How do you let SABnzbd "grab categories" from indexing sites?
There are only two ways supported: through an RSS feed
and from actual newsgroups in the NZB.
In the first case, SABConnect is not involved an  in the
second case it has no influence.
The only exceptions are nzbmatrix and newzbin for which explicit category support is built in.

I understand thanks, nzbmatrix is not grabbing them either and my api key and username is correct would there be annything in the log file? Is Newzbin worth the subscription fee it was worth it back in the day.
Are there any plans to be able to Search Providers in sabnzbd in future builds?

Let's get this straight.
If a utility like SABconnects sends an actual NZB to SABnzbd,
there will be no category support (except based on newsgroup names).
Only when SABnzbd gets the nzbmatrix URL for the NZB, it can retrieve the category.
The NZB itself does *not* contain the category!

The value of newzbin2 is significantly lower than that of the old newzbin,
although the price is the same.

We have no plans to support search sites directly, except through RSS feeds.
We think it's better to use the site directly and get the resulting NZB into SABnzbd by other means.
There is no standardization whatsoever in search sites and we're not looking
forward to hard-coding support into SABnzbd, that might need changes every month.

Thats what I want also when I add nzb via url I get this error https://api.nzbmatrix.com/v1.1/download.php?id=removed username and api of course
"problem accessing nzbmatrix server, The main reason I used Newzbin was for the category support.

nzbmatrix has a lot of issues lately.
But SABnzbd does support it.
If you add your user name and apikey in "Config->Index sites" it will work.
You don't need to add the user id and the apikey to the URL, SABnzbd will do that.

Is there a browser that Sabnzbd recommends?

Firefox 4 gives the most stable results.
But Chrome (10+) and IE8/9 should work fine too.
Safari and Opera aren't tested often by the team, but they should work.
We have fairly conservative HTML/Javascript and use popular
Javascript libraries. So any browser following the standards should work.
Most problems are subtle rendering issues, not so much functionality.
