Notification at connection problems

is there a possibility for notifications at connection problems with the usenet server ?

Warnings and errors are listed now.
What kind of notification did you have in mind?

Email notification if sabnzbd cant connect to the usenet server for example.

Don't know, sounds a bit over the top.
What are you going to do when you receive this email?
I just want to get some idea about the usefulness of this and
the chance that anyone else than you might actually use it.

Take a look on the WebIF.

Had some trouble with stucking downloads the last days. Restarting sabnzbd and also the NAS doesn't helped, only changing the port to another and back was the solution for me. Tryed the download at the same time with alt.binz from my desktop without problems.

The port? The port for the web-ui or the usenet server?

A work-around may be setting the server as "optional".
That way, if it hangs again it will be taken off-line for about 10 minutes.
That may fix the problem.
That alt.binz works OK on your PC says nothing about your NAS, SABnzbd on the PC will work just as well.
We can only give limited support to other platforms than Windows/OSX/Ubuntu, because there are
just too many variables involved and we have no means of testing.
